Were you expecting a post riddled with holes, can't find the pic I saw years back. Talked to Castleford Boatyard today, I need a survey and it's blacking time, usual dry dock at Hebden closed. So going for epoxy two pack, £58 + vat per foot, so just shy of 3k including a survey. It should then last a few years. That will make me happy, it's only a 5mm so does 6mm bottom hull. I just need to book when I set off, they will fit it in when I get there, it'll take 4 days from here.
The boatyard is the old Hargreaves Yard in Castleford.

Wouldn't you do better to use the money to buy a proper engine?

Wouldn't you do better to use the money to buy a proper engine? I Challenge you to a slalom course, including the 100 m reverse dash😜. It would be easy peasy to replace the outboard, don't even have to leave it out on the back deck for 3 weeks, I can bring it home to fettle in the warmth of my shed. Now, when that smokey old diesel of yours gives its final rattle you'll have to do lots of overtime. Presuming you survive breathing in all the invisible particulates leaving your engine running in locks.

I would rather die early from Pm2.5 inhalation than suffer the roof box.

Wouldn't you do better to use the money to buy a proper engine? I can bring it home to use as an egg whisk. Fixed that for ya.
