I remember back in the misty memories of childhood a bloke riding rounds the streets of Rochdale on a 3 wheeler with a steaming vat of Black Peas on the front. He used to ring a bell and we'd go out with a basin and buy his black peas......I bet his bike wasnt as shiney as that one, but the peas were bloody lovely

I remember him too, used to take our own basin to be filled. I still get black peas every year, educated the grandspawn in th'owd ways. I wonder how many on here know what we are talking about? Ignorant southernersπππ

Ignorant southernersπππ too true, I have to order them on line to get them down here, They didnt go down to well with the sprogs so i managed to plough my way through them eventually

Pie and pea man round my childhood housing estate.
Used to take a bowl out for mushy peas.
Mind you, he didn't travel in anything as handsome as the above vehicle.
