Does anyone remember that Coronavirus thing? How you had to wear a face nappy every time you went out, stand two metres away from anyone else, how you couldn't visit your dying Granny in the care home?
What's happened to it? It seemed to disappear on the very day that Russia invaded Ukraine and it just isn't mentioned at all any more. A vanishingly small number of elderly people sheepishly still wearing the face nappy in Morrisons is all that remains, but even they largely seem to have given up now.
Is it time to accept that the whole thing was a gigantic hoax now?

It must suck to be on the wrong side of history Gazza but if it's any consolation you weren't the only one.

Good times... bad times ... everything must pass. It happened ... we all lived through it ... personally I'm rather glad not to hear about it constantly Rog

Inflation running at 10%? Well, what the fuck did people expect if you shut down the economy for two years? If you pay state employees to sit at home and do nothing for two years? MuckArse left the forum because he couldn't find popular support for compulsory State vaccination. NaughtyFox sold his boat at the darkest hour just before the dawn because he was totally sucked into it. What a complete shitshow the whole thing was. How could anybody have been so stupid to have believed in it?

I didnβt fall for the we are all going to die covid story. Didnβt agree with the lockdowns and other stuff that was thrown at the virus. What I am sure of though is that itβs a nasty virus, far worse than our usual flu virus. I know to many people who have had it and are struggling to shake it off months later. I hope that we have been through the worst of it.

While I'm on, has anyone seen Sir Patrick Vallance or Professor Chris Whitty lately?
No. They've just been blown away like a fart in the wind. Although both have made millions from the poor wooden-headed saps who hung on to their every word.

Iβm not going to take the bait too hard.
I will say 15 months on from covid I still have no meaningful sense of smell, my sense of taste is all fucked up and my fitness deteriorated to the point of having to have an angiogram to confirm no damage to my heart.
Thatβs without commenting on the horrors the icu teams and my wife have had to deal with as a palliative care nurse, grasping for your last few breaths is no way to shuffle off this mortal coil.
Ross disappeared up his own arsehole on this subject, I hope Vince doesnβt follow him π

It happened ... what Mr Stabby or anyone elses views are on it won't change that. Whether the world's response was right or wrong, I'm just happy that for most of us, life goes on. Rog

I suspect for you Mr Stabby, and certainly for me, other medical issues and concerns have taken precedence over what happened in 2020. No fence sitting ... simply moved on to the next worry. Rog

The most rational thing Borax ever did was to announce that covid 19 is no longer a pandemic - it has been downgraded to being endemic, just like flu.
anyone who claims it was all a hoax needs to get out more and meet people who have suffered bereavement or extreme sickness.
I hesitate to put Mrs Tabby in the same category as creepyfox. However it is nice to know that things are slowly returning to some kind of normal (or perhaps I should say "a new normal").

I'm sure they'd have found another excuse. Maybe food poisoning from a pizza.

Could the reduced rate of infection have anything to do with the discontinuance of free test kits?
