"The pro-Covid-narrative side are losing, very badly. Everything they are doing, all of it based on lies, is making their condition even worse. This is going to get extremely ugly as their entire world view crumbles under the relentless onslaught of reality. They will be lashing out with increasing levels of venom and insanity."

"Covid makes a comeback: Cases jump 40% in a week in England with 1.1million infected... so use this interactive map to find out how many people have virus in YOUR area Office for National Statistics estimates 1.13m people were infected on any given day in week ending June 10 Figure is up 42% on previous week, marking biggest weekly jump since December when Omicron first seeded Outbreaks are rising in care homes and there are signs of an increase in hospital admissions among over-85s" "Dr Chung Chung, London, United Kingdom, 2 days ago I would advise putting a mask on in grounded places and washing your hands again. People have become complacent and the virus has crept back up." www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-10926967/Covid-makes-comeback-Cases-jump-40-week-England-1-1million-infected.html#comments

Does anyone remember that Coronavirus thing? How you had to wear a face nappy every time you went out, stand two metres away from anyone else, how you couldn't visit your dying Granny in the care home? What's happened to it? It seemed to disappear on the very day that Russia invaded Ukraine and it just isn't mentioned at all any more. A vanishingly small number of elderly people sheepishly still wearing the face nappy in Morrisons is all that remains, but even they largely seem to have given up now. Is it time to accept that the whole thing was a gigantic hoax now? Never start a covid thread again Vince, you poked the fox awake.

I hadn’t realised how restricted we are. It’s hell out here on the water. Can’t go anywhere.

Of course you can travel around England... but you can't travel to many/most other countries unless you bow down to the experimental 'Covid vaccinations' issued under emergency authorisation and go as 'fully vaccinated'. You certainly can't come to Finland unless you are 'vaccinated for Covid' or resident here; no 'unvaccinated' tourists for now "because of Covid". You yourself have seen the madness where shopkeepers/bar staff refuse to touch cash (banknotes and coins) for fear of 'catching the virus'. You also can't escape the fact that you're paying 70% more for petrol/diesel as compared to 2 years ago.... nor the fact that your electricity bill is going to be much higher. All those with electric cars are going to have to find at least another 54% amount of money in order to charge them... you may be able to "go anywhere" but only if you can afford it.

I have no passport I dont care if people who haven't been vaccinated cant travel in fact its a bonus as it reduces Emissions from travel. I am currently in Sprotborough in my boat getting ready for a little walk with Oscar, sun is shinning and my steering ram has been repaired

I'm guessing some of us here are quite fortunate. As for foreign travel, I agree, we should be reducing emissions. I'm very happy to see out my days staying in the UK anyway. The best way to reduce emissions is to consume less crap. Have you seen how much fuel and pollution cargo ships use and throw out? One of the good things about Covid is that it's making some of us realise how lucky we are to be alive. The bad bit is the extortionate amount of money some people have made out of it. Then there are those flying around the world to conferences on climate control.

Yes, sadly I believe it's that model which could well see the end of us. It's not surprising really as we've had so many generations growing up believing that money and buying crap fixes everything and is the main source of happiness. I probably thought the same until I discovered it was spending time with friends and nature which really made me happy. The boat helps too...

I don't buy presents for the children for Christmas or birthdays.
Seems a bit naff but it is a deliberate strategy to install in them the pointlessness of consumption.
The woman is the same. They do get little treats but none of the bullshit branded rubbish.
The whole idea of having children is to produce higher quality specimens than the parents. Obviously I am incredibly close to ideal so it's very difficult but its working so far.
Optimism is the key.
And realism.

When I look back at my parents, that's what I remember anyway.
