Not even by the skin of his teeth
Under other circumstances I think I would have believed he should go but I think at the moment with the world situation being what it is, it might be the wrong time.

Better not change horses in mid stream.
Tories are undermined if Johnson stays but even more if he goes.
A nice bit of social manipulation needs to be done then whack in a new clean faced leader just before the election everything looks rosy bang back in.
No worries.
Tenner on Sunak.

People who say we shouldn't change the prime minister because we are in the middle of a crisis should reflect on what the consequences would have been if Chamberlain had not be ousted during the biggest crisis in Britain's history, in May 1940. It's absolute nonsense.

I suspect we would have lost the war had he stayed in charge.

It's absolute nonsense. To clarify I meant from the point of view of the Tory party. For the country it would be better for Johnson to go but while the Tories have no opposition they can more or less do what they want. The PM could shoot a load of school kids and Tories will still get back in. Labour is buried. For a long time.

It's absolute nonsense. with your post as it stands I would agree vis a vis Chamberlin and Churchill.
However on the lines of my post in the other thread on this, getting rid of someone who is a prat in his personal behaviour
but seems to be succeeding in dealing with an ongoing international crisis just to replace them with one from a selection of ..... shall we say a less than glittering assemblage.......... *
In 1940 we were in a crisis because (partly at least) the failures of Chamberlin and we needed a bull headed stuborn opinionated bastard and fortunately there was one to hand.
* (actually I think there is one who might make a decent PM but I don't know enough about them to really comment)

It's absolute nonsense. Labour is buried. For a long time. I think traditional politics in this country (maybe the world) is dead and buried. During the New Labour period we had a Labour party trying to be a Tory party. Now we have a Tory party going along with leftist policies. Perhaps we have moved into a new phase of trying to work out what is simply just right or wrong. The trouble is that I don't think there is a single person on this planet who is qualified (emotionally or logically) to do that. Having said that, as individuals we can have a good go at it.

Be glad there is no ambition or motivation. Be very glad. ...but we responded to eachothers pressing of buttons, which implies we have motivation. As for ambition, have you ever thought about what you want to be when you grow up? (I'm still working on it, but other things keep getting in the way)

I am amazed that anyone can still think that Boris should remain a small PM. His behaviour is completely unacceptable in my eyes. The fact that people still stick up for him just reinforces my view that the UK is completely f.....
