So they tried to remove it, but they have failed?

Sinking it was very sensible as it takes out the chance of it ending up adrift.
You really wouldn't want a big old lump like that drifting down a river out of control. That would be bad news.
If it is on the bottom then this won't happen. Sorted.

The word locally is that Tony Dunkley deliberately set that boat adrift, knowing that it was likely to cause damage to other boats and infrastructure, in the belief that CRT would be liable for the costs involved.

So they tried to remove it, but they have failed? Read the post you're replying to ! Here it is again : - For the benefit of anyone still nursing the same misconceptions as the above mindless semi-literate specimen, the commercial barge Selby Michael remains where it was intentionally sunk by C&RT at Hazleford as a reminder to Parry and his gang of property thieving liars that they have no lawful powers under common law or any statutory enactment to seize vessels from their known and rightful owners.
Kris, and any other vacuous gobshites who have been either wrongly predicting the seizure and removal of Selby Michael from C&RT controlled waters, or inventing idiotic reasons to explain why it hasn't been seized or removed, would be well advised to bring themselves up to date and think about the facts and the reality, rather than continuing to parade their ignorance and stupidity in public. For once, Parry and the rest of this so-called Trust's boat stealing crooks have fallen flat on their faces and failed in yet one more of their customarily unlawful and fraudulently executed processes. Rather than responding to any of the above, or any of the earlier factual posts made on the subject, with yet more stupid remarks, . . anyone possessing a modicum of wit or intelligence will be asking the question -- why ?

Saw a small aluminium workboat pootle up the cut this morning, returned later pushing a narrowboat. Whole crew including several dibble by the lock. I scanned the skies for superdunk the caped crusader winging in to save the day, but he was a no show.

i see they have upped their game and now despatch more bodies, probably due to the kicking Tony gave them all.
They call him Bruce.

Just got a boat called "Absolute shower" reporting to London VTS on VHF channel 14. Outward bound asking for permission for the barrier.
Good boat name. Always nice to see a sense of humour on a warm day.
I quite like enjoying boating by poxy. Could be a good gongoozler.

I don't think he's going to say. Ages ago Dunk mentioned that Selby Michael's mooring at the lock is due to a court decision that it was a vital part of his 'business', and as such he has a right to keep it there. This mainly demonstrates that the law is an ass. Perhaps CRT did sink it - a wholly pragmatic decision if it were true, which I very much doubt. But I expect the reality is that it's not worth the bother of trying. There will be a future opportunity when all such encumbrances cease to be of any relevance, and likely not too distant a prospect.
