In our day to day lives does it matter ? Is there any real, direct impact on us ? Sad innit. Rog It will matter IF a power that be makes it compulsory to have a 'vaccine' where the manufacturer won't disclose all of the ingredients. Then you have a back door to selective genocide. You are right up to a point but how far do we let our freedom of choice get compromised before it's too late. I think your particular example to be extremely unlikely in a society like ours which can be bloody minded and go the opposite way.
In general I thik you have it to rights
A lot of people don't realise that freedom is not something that our forefathers won and we therefore have it in perpetuity.
encroachment occurs all the time, when it is "just temporary because of this crisis" and the reasons are clear and valid, we sometimes have to accept.
We also have to make damn sure they actually are "temporary" and the reasons are valid
I did not believe how easy it was for a population to be progressively denied freedom after freedom until I took a close look at the work of Mr Vladimir Vladimirovitch over the las decade or so.
The truly lunatic outpourings of the official press now (a bit of a misnomer when there is nothing else but) being lapped up by a public that has lost so many of the freedoms only recently achieved
I find it quite staggering to behold (yes I know we only get a distorted view but looking closely at many sources you can get a fairly reasonable idea).

why the hell would I want to go to France .... it's full of French people bloody hell, even the immigrants are desperate to leave and get across the channel Well Ali and me wanted to go. Was our retirement plan. You can still go to France, if you are 'fully vaccinated for Covid', or want to pay £100/person for 'proof of a negative result from a fake test' ("Only £99.99 to you, my friend!" says Faisal Shoukat of RT Diagnostics). You'll be required to wear a face mask on public transport, and to show your Vaxx Pass to the Police when you're sitting outside a cafe drinking coffee with your croissant, but it's all in a good cause to "protect others" and stop the spread of a non-existent virus. It's all about the control of people by the use of fear and the threat of fines, and making money out of it. RT Diagnostics: "Run from this terrible company! It takes days to get your results, even if you keep calling customer services . It’s like a scam." - surely not! It was a 'Government-approved provider'.

"I think your particular example to be extremely unlikely in a society like ours which can be bloody minded" The "bloody minded" British doing as they are told - lining up for their Covid jabs. Loss of freedom through induced fear and social disapproval.

And nice wine (they keep all the good stuff to themselves you know). actually I like some French cheeses but I have never found it neccessary to go there when I want some, there is quite a good selection available in this country as well as delicacies from other countries
including the UK (can I reccomend Parlick Fell sheeps cheese if you spot it)
As regards wine, I have found French wine to be often very overated and overpriced
The Uk, New Zealand, South America, Spain, Italy Australia et al produce some exceedingly good wines with much less bullshit that goes along with it

why the hell would I want to go to France And generally better food. They have a more developed cuisine in order to compensate for and disguise the poorer quality of domestic meat and other foodstuffs. Quite simply the cooler and rainier climate in the UK makes for better produce.

It's funny how most of the time you present a fairly reasoned view of things but every so often you say the most ridiculous crap.

"Can one of the Brexiteers name a single gain for the UK as a country, or for UK residents as individuals that is a direct result of Brexit?"
"Yes!... after 6 years it still makes remainers cry and cry and cry. That's more than enough reward."

Please add anything you feel I've missed (not Ross). We came second in the Eurovision. They can't hate us anymore.
