Can anyone tell me whether ice gets colder when left longer in a freezer?

No but an odd thing is that warm water freezes faster than cold water.
I had all sorts of issues with my rather poorly educated physics teacher at Halliford around this. And painting radiators black. One would have thought that a school charging almost as much as Eton for day boys would vet the teachers rather better. Never mind. I got out of there as soon as I got my allowance. Shame about missing out on the triple A "A levels" but worse things happen at sea.
Next week is going to be interesting.

Ice forms at 0c (32f)
Once it's ice it's ice.

They do those blocks which freeze at a lower temperature than fresh water.
I don't think they arrr that good.

Ice forms at 0c (32f) Once it's ice it's ice. Rog Yep get that. But Ali reckons her cubes melt faster if they haven’t been frozen long enough.

We have a similar one, it's great works a dream on the boat especially on days like this. Tend not to use it at home as we have space in a freezer.

There are two factors at play, one is the latent heat of freezing ie the heat energy that has to be extracted from water at 0c to make ice at 0c. Then there is the normal thermal mass of something, so if you put a stone into your drink that was at 0C, it wouldn’t cool the drink anything like as much as if you put a stone in that was at -15c. We always keep ice in the freezer, whereas the ice making machine at the gliding club which chucks out ice at 0c, always disappoints.

Maybe that's more to do with the temp. of the gin and the tonic rather than the ice.
You young folk (🤣 sorry again 😂) come up with some fascinating discussion topics 🖖

Our house freezer makes ice at -18, Seems to be cuboid for longer. This is generally in winter though, so not scientifically meaningful. Boat freezer ice not so hot.. so to speak! Where’s Jeff when we need a bag of ice?
