"Yet another thread being derailed by the same people." It is possible to look sideways for a few seconds, and then look straight ahead to keep going in the same general forwards direction. We surely can remember what this thread is about, but as someone has pointed out, discussions can veer off at tangents. Do we have to go down the straight & narrow like horses with blinkers to the sides of our eyes? Well, my omelette is ready. I shall be interested to read on Sunday about the outcome of the London demonstration, and as I said, photos would be nice. A pleasant weekend to all! Perhaps you want to attend and take some.

It's Finland's "Green Gold" as they call it. Up to Rovaniemi yesterday - not to visit Santa but to meet a Witch.

I think if UK leaves, the EU will be weakened and might unravel, with other countries wanting to follow. I think that is what the Americans fear, and that Europe will be vulnerable to Russian ambitions in the Baltic and other countries that used to be part of the Soviet Union. We would get the blame for initiating it and we would lose influence and allies. I wonder if this is what the Cameron government thinks too, otherwise if baffles me why they want to stay in.
My heart says LEAVE and I will probably vote to leave, but it might be better if we were inside working to change the EU back into the Common Market we originally joined. Maybe a very close Remain vote will be the best outcome, so it is clear that we are not a pro-EU country. But that means a lot of us will need to vote to get out, just not quite enough of us to swing it.

Well it seems Obummer is bullying us to stay in Europe. If we don't we will be put on the bottom of the trade list apparently. Not only that, we will not be able to defend ourselves so well from the IS and we would be less likely to form part of the New World Order (actually ai made that last one up).
It's enough to make me slightly peeved off and vote OUT. Anyway, who want's to be ruled by them?

At times I think we would be better of with the Russians rather than the Yanks!! In the first Gulf war we lost a lot of troops to friendly fire and it was always the Yanks doing the firing!!

I tell you the thing with Obama,by the time we are in or even out of Europe he wont even be in power so how can he say what American Foreign Policy will be? Secondly if the USA was seeking membership of Europe and had to cede as much Sovereignty as the UK has, there would be another Civil War.

Side alley - sorry - just noticed this: johnv said: "the Santa reference I follow but .....a witch ?"
I keep finding little paths in Thunderboat that I have missed - there's a lot more in here than you see at first glance.
Anyway, to bore you all to death, here's the story:
Someone once said I looked like a fox. They meant it in a nice way, and, looking in a mirror I thought... hmmm... perhaps. 11 years ago I had a 'bad trip' to England, got a puncture in a rental car in the Lake District and dreadful rain on the way back to Essex. I thought I'd annoy some Finns on a Finnish chat site when I got home, so went there where I bumped into a woman and we chatted politely for 2 hours. I thought I was getting nowhere and she wouldn't even tell me where she lived, but I made an effort to be civilised and friendly and polite. Then she asked could we chat tomorrow? I thought.... *groan* ... and said "OK!". So we chatted the next day for another couple of hours and I drank, during this time, a whole bottle of red wine which I had not done before. But I was still sober. And then we chatted regularly, via the Internet.
5 weeks later she said she's coming to Helsinki to visit her daughter, and she might (!) have time to visit me. We met for lunch.... and dated for the next 6.5 years until I moved to live with her out here amongst the potato fields and scarecrows.
Anyway, my chat room name was 'Montana Fox' (as I have always fancied driving round Montana, USA) and she said she looked like an old witch (I hadn't seen a photo of her before we met). So I call her 'Witchy' (anyone remember Witchy Poo from Rod Hull and Emu?) and she calls me Foxy.
As it happens, I quite like red foxes, and wouldn't mind one as a pet. I did in fact know an elderly couple who had a pet fox called 'Rennie' in Watton-at-Stone in Hertfordshire.

2 foxes. One used to be 6 years old, the other was found in a charity shop in Worcester and now travels extensively around Northen Ostrobothnia: goo.gl/photos/TM5LzbzCtmsDAnoM9

OK tell me how you meant it then. Come on you can't see homophobic content in every post,a bummer where I come from is simply someone who talks a mixture of both rubbish and downright lies.
