OK ... As title Van stuck in my garden. The belt snapped and its stuck behind the ?cam belt If we snip either side will it just spit out? Can van be driven with alternator or whatever belt snapped to get garage?..there is leisure battery which ?could top up t'other battery If not, is it easy to replace(says it is on google)? Please see photo.. I am not sure I know the right descriptive terms Please be gentle with replies as this van is an awful job under normal circumstances to get in and out of my garden...son has a work contract starting next week. Thank you....

They often run the water pump as well so might not be a good plan to go far.
Can you recognise the water pump?

Is it just the alternator belt that has snapped? Very difficult to see what’s going on from the photo. Exactly for the reason Andrew has said.

He's got meeting London and then flies Falklands.. if push comes to shove he can use my car for London and then hire one for airport run. There's always a solution. Its just when these things happen I get bit anxious. When we know solution its not so bad ... I think we were both worried that it'd mean trying to get van out... that would be a nightmare

Just need to keep an eye on his oil level i guess.
