I should add that she is not in fact foe sale - the webpage I linked to is out of date. I bought it nearly 8 years ago.

Not for sale that I know of but... ... does anyone know anything about this boat. It's on the river Dane near Congleton. Well it's not actually on the river, which is little more than a stream next to it.

No idea really but could it be a converted ships lifeboat? Seems to be rather top heavy. Or perhaps a MFV of some sort. The hull seems to have a very boaty shape with lots of sheer.

I'm still puzzled as to how she got there, certainly not down the river. Wish I had taken a photo, to put into context, of where it is.

A local told me it was craned in some years ago, and briefly opened up as a bar/disco before being closed down, in his words " being unlicensed and causing grief".
He said some legal wrangles were continuing, but the owner "disappeared" abandoning the boat and it would cost too much for the authorities to remove it.
I cannot vouch for the truth of this explanation, just what I was told when asked.

Possibly more appropriately called "backwards" I see it is advertised by cw member Sarah Aston Villa FC Interesting boat so it fits the thread title. Well done junior !

That is a lovely boat. They say "not a vessel for dreamers". Does that mean I'm not allowed to dream about it then.

The harbour it's in is gorgeous as well kinvara in county Galway just on the edge of the burran. But I must keep telling myself I don't want a wooden boat.
