Let's be totally honest ....... you would want it even more, if it was unconverted and fully loaded

I like the boat, but it's abit too much like a floating apartment for me. I wonder what the six cylinder engine is?

They say that she was built in 1836, that makes her 180 years old, so the warranty on her has surely expired.
She will be the oldest, or at least one of the oldest, iron inland waterway barges still afloat I reckon.

There's a few of the M class barges still afloat, I didn't think they where that old though.

I didn't think Guiness built their riverside site until late on in the 1800's. I am not sure but I thought their first barge was built by Harland and Wolff (can't remember it's name though)

Have you seen Dolphin, on Dominic's site, Rugby Boat sales. 1925 Josher.
There's another boat called Canopus on there too. Yarwoods replica, but unusually has a bow thruster. I would have thought someone into historic replicas wouldn't dream of having such a , modern device.
I'm sorry, there's no link because I'm technically incompetent.

Another interesting boat on the appalling duck Irish version. If it were not for the dodgy top I'd find this very appealing. I prefer a good steel cabin on balance. Nice spacious boat - looks a bit like a Humber barge but seems to be built in Ireland m.apolloduck.com/feature.phtml?id=469858

Possibly a good candidate for lengthening.
I've seen it before somewhere on the GU but it was painted red I think or maroon.
I wonder if it has an inboard engine installation? Probably not if they only want £2k for it.

Probably not if they only want £2k for it. I've seen the red one at Foxton. I think it was called Wobbly Bob. Just a tad bigger I would suggest, if we're talking of the same boat. Rog

Has it got the 'windscreen' with the portholes in it. That's the bit I recognised.
