As has already been discussed on here Nifes have the disadvantage of charging at a different voltage to lead acid batteries. Last I looked they were saying around 17V for a 12V bank - that sound about right? Your a bit high, I would have thought you would have known. There is an upgrade to the Sterling Pro Charger I think it is to charge them etc. 1.2V cell 12V 24V 48V Equalise 1.65v 16.5v 33v 66v Boost 1.55v 15.5v 31v 62v Float 1.45v 14.5v 29v 58v

Oh sorry I misunderstood, you give a lot of advice on batteries as if you are an expert. In fact you represent yourself as a competent person as far as batteries and charging goes. You mentioned having looked into NiFe. I would have thought you would have looked into charging etc. as that has an effect on costs etc.

I didn't look really closely at them at the time because it didn't particularly interest me. That's why I was asking questions in this thread - I'm ignorant about them and would like to learn π

Everything I touch now a days seems smarter then me. I think you have to add the upgrade but not at all sure. Just someone I was talking to who had installed NiFe and had an upgraded charger. Sure it was sterling
