It is important not to take anything TonyDunkley says seriously. After all, according to him he still "has" the narrow boat Halcyon Daze and is not a bankrupt. This indicates a separation from reality which seems to suggest that nothing he says can be taken seriously and a large dose of salt is needed. I'm not sure why you are so agitated about it all. He obviously has MCI and other issues so just think of it in humorous terms.
He also has a marked tendency to make posts without realising that he has already made the same post, often just a few hours before. This repetition is a classic symptom of dementia.

Please use more than a first name to identify the person you are talking about. I think it is possible that people could well think that you are referring to me. This goes for a few others on here as well.
To the best of my knowledge I have never advised you on timing your engine and the only time I recall commenting on engine timing in here, pointing out that when timing Lister SL/SR types you are also phasing the individual pumps. I was then subject to a tirade from Dunkerly alleging that I did not know what I was talking about, so you have my sympathy.
I am a convicted paedophile/child molester who is on the Sex Offenders Register Yes, we know, you've told us already.

So Tony back to the original question. you never answered my question. I’m interested why you instructed me to set up the timing on my engine incorrectly. I can only think either it was a deliberate malicious act or your an imbecile who doesn’t know as much as he reckons? So which one is it? It must be one or the other. Personally I lean towards a deliberate malicious act. As witnessed by all the nonsense you came up with about my engine. I think you did it so eventually my boat would break down and I’d end up in a situation with crt. But please don’t be shy, I’m sure more than me would be interested in the answer.

Kris(Nadin) - author of the post you replied to on page 2 - and Vince( Mr Stabby)Coventon - the lowlife who's been amusing himself for the last few weeks by publicly and falsely stating that I am a convicted paedophile/child molester who is on the Sex Offenders Register - are the joint architects of a long running smear campaign on Thunderboat, intended to do harm to my business, my professional standing and reputation, and to raise doubts as to my honesty, character, and integrity. On one occasion, some years ago, I did give Kris(Nadin) some quite extensive advice on the running condition of his Ruston 3YWA, and the generally poor overall standard of his botched up installation of it. The fairy story about duff instructions on setting up the timing has been posted on here before, . . and arises out of nothing but petty resentment of my (constructive) criticism of his crap engine installation and lousy workmanship, and the fact that he was simply too thick and stupid to understand anything of what I told him and explained about an incorrect governor set-up and over-fuelling problem that he had created himself when converting the engine to variable speed from fixed speed governing.

The whole thing about internet forum exposure is quite interesting when it comes to people making a living from a niche business like marine engineering.
In theory, even if there is some negative input it could still be worthwhile to get as much coverage as possible.
If you think about it logically it would be unlikely that a vacuous inconsequential nobody would get that much attention on a forum.
They must be special.
I personally think that all of the coverage can only be positive for the reputation as it disabuses viewers of the notion that the person in question is a vacuous inconsequential nobody.
I find it all terribly fascinating.
