its nice of you to say Nick, I see your still hanging around this "dung heap." Ps I find it amusing you getting offended on Rachael's behalf, it's so sweet.
Well be flattered, since you are literally the primary creator of the dung heap.
Anyway I am not getting offended on Rachael's behalf, I just think it is unfortunate that a few people are happy to jeopardise the continuing growth of this forum by this sort ofΒ feral mob behaviour. In other words, as I said to TD, it is about how the forum looks to outsiders not how it may (or may not) make Rachel feel.
i would suggest that anybody who is offended by what ihas been posted in this thread wouldn't last long on here. So maybe it would be better if they joined cwdf anyway.

I'd rather this place was inclusive, not just a hang out for grumpy old sociopaths. Talking of which, where's Gibbo got to? He seemed to have a slight episode of tomsk-tourettes, then disappeared... As I suggested at the time he just wanted to get some happy birthday type greetings then fekked off. or was it a sock puppet (does that work ?)

Telemachus: "I have to say that this sort of "banter" brings this site into disrepute. By which I mean, nasty personal attacks"
Telemachus: "I always knew you were thick."

"it is about how the forum looks to outsiders"
I think any normal person stumbling across this site would think "this looks a bit wacky" and then "ah, something to do with boats and canals - must be a boaters' forum" and then read some more and take the plunge and join in. After all, where else would you find all this great humour and great minds all wrapped into one? I'd rather be sat here in me Harris Tweed jacket smoking me pipe laughing and coughing me lungs out than be dressed in a neatly pressed suit for a funeral.

Harris Tweed? Isn't that a bit old fashioned? I have two Harris Tweed jackets from charity shops. Nice bit of clothing but I had assumed it was old gits wearing it.
Are you an old git ?
I'm 42.
Am I an innocent victim of fashion?

How do you think this looks to outsiders then, Nick ? It's SY Philis welcoming a new member to CWDF earlier today.

Another thing is that the Terms and Conditions to the licence they are trying to sell to make 'lawful' what was an 'unlawful' mooring specifically state that the relevant licence cannot perform this function. It's at 3.3 on p2 I think. There's a remedy in s5 BW Act 1983 for the non-payment of fees set out under s43(3) of the Transport Act 1962 - that's the one I think they need to use. These might have already been pointed out a few times by now i'd say - i'm new here (hi).

Thanks for the thought, but I didn't really need or want any such 'chance', . . . I merely happened across this fine example of SY Philis inanity whilst glancing through the moribund remains of CWDF earlier today.

Was something revealed that was detrimental to TD's case? There's nothing relating to me anywhere in that thread, it's the post meltdown non-thread about Leigh Ravenscroft suing C&RT that somebody started after the real one was closed down, but SY Philis's post may well have been a subconscious act prompted by you blabbing about the Travelodge assignations.
