And the 'gigoguy' alien-picking-his-nose avatar is back, with user name gigoguy restored. Note the small g, after it was pointed out that the original gigoguy did not use a big G. Although once he reads this he'll probably change it yet again. It's a bit odd, pretending to be other people all of the time. "Impostor syndrome is a psychological occurrence in which an individual has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a fraud."
a constructive comment at last from the chicken rustler - keep it up please!

"Impostor syndrome is a psychological occurrence in which an individual has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a fraud." Shirley this only counts as a psychological condition if you are not actually an imposter; if you are then it's a very real concern that goes with the territory. Interesting sculpture though.

Seems to be an awful lot of paranoia on here. Label it as whatever you like, . . it's all coming, as it always has, from the usual handful of lamebrained arseholes and nutcases who in fact have absolutely nothing worthwhile to say, . . but can't resist saying it anyway ! There's been a topic called ' Gardner 2LW - Ribble Link' running on CWDF for the last couple of days. The popular misconceptions that gave rise to the topic/thread would be well worth taking up again via these two old TB threads :- < thunderboat.boards.net/thread/8449/ribble-link-underused-expensively-operated > and: < thunderboat.boards.net/thread/7937/winter-cc-nw > Ffs didn’t you rant on about that enough the first time around? So you’ve been lurking on cwdf? Pity they don’t let you post, then you would n’t come and bother thunderboat. Never mind I tried.

I did have a little chuckle when the Ribble link v 2LW thread was put up on cabalworld.
I think the phrase "The popular misconceptions...would be well worth taking up again..." has got to be a slightly out of control sense of humour problem.
It did make me laugh so it worked.

The CWDF thread is founded in the understandable concerns that people have over the prospect of having to stem a strong tide for long periods with canalboats with inadequate engine cooling systems. The need for doing so is, in turn, founded in C&RT's inability to organize and conduct tidal passages in a competent and professional manner.

The only people who have to be concerned about this are those who have boats and use them in that area.
To anyone else the arrangements are entirely irrelevant.

It's impossible to put a precise figure on the number of people/boats that are put off making the trip on the Ribble to get onto the Lancaster Canal, . . solely through C&RT's incompetence and stupidity, . . but it must be quite considerable.

We know this but as I said, it is irrelevant.
It doesn't make any difference to anything at all. Until and unless changes are made, which won't happen, that is how things actually are in the real world.
One can make changes to reality in one's own head but outside of this particular box other things happen.
Do you not understand this?

What you need to take on board is that one must carefully read Tony's posts until you understand them properly, thus saving Tony the bother of re-posting the same comment, but with the bits you clearly failed to understand in bold. Are you a lamebrain or a nitwit? Just asking.

Lamebrain. Also a vacuous inconsequential nobody. Does this help?
I have been known to be somewhat vomit-inducing at times so maybe this will bring the score up a little too.

Most helpful, although the tendency to induce vomit is a little troubling.
