If only he'd had to suffer a state grammar education he, too, would have known the word he was seeking was "tautology".

It is impressive to see what happens in different types of schools. Obviously I went to an expensive private school.
My girls are in the inner city hell hole state school system in east London. They seem to know a heck of a lot more than I ever did at that age. Both of them can recite the periodic table in its entirety and the younger one can write Floccinaucinihilipilification backwards with her eyes closed so that you can read it in a mirror.
I blame the woman !
I think state schools are ten times better than private and I can spend the saved money on beer. What is not to like ?

Are you applying/implying an oxymoron there?

I wonder what the primary focus was.

I wonder what the primary focus was. Keeping yourself safe and in beer? Are you coping OK? It's wet and windy on the ditches so hope the river isn't too rough.

All good here.
River is shifting a bit. 180 tonnes a second through Maidenhead at the moment. Nice.

Glad to hear it! Even the ditches have had waves for the last few days.
Last time I came down your way was wondering where all those helpful lockies were - seems they were just behind me, putting the red boards up. I was swept sideways through Wallingford bridge - sadly, never did get to moor and see the town.

Wallingford can get well dodgy in floods. Recently, I think it was two yars ago, a narrow boat ended up in one of the fields below the bridge.fortunately not near the edge so it was safe. They did eventually recover it using a trailer with about 29 wheels and hydraulic jacking system. And a tractor.
The estate is just above a lock which means the level doesn't change that much but the water does move a bit.
I was out on the Podium yesterday doing risk taking activities as it was Friday the 13th but managed to get back safely.
Back to the inner city slum ditch tomorrow.
Worse things happen at sea.

If only you had gone to a proper school you would know that the word you are searching for is "tautological". One of us evidently did go to a proper school. Or at least, a grammar school where they tend to focus on, you know, "grammar". "Redundancy happens when the repetition of a word or idea does not add anything to the previous usage; it just restates what has already been said, takes up space, and gets in the way without adding meaning.[5]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redundancy_(linguistics)#:~:text=Redundancy%20happens%20when%20the%20repetition,the%20way%20without%20adding%20meaning. "Tautological" isn't even a noun, it's an adjective so how can something be "a tautological"? Sorry for not fully explaining. I realise that slight intelligence is required to realise that if the adjective is tautological, the noun is tautology. No wonder you couldn’t be expected to work it out!

You see Kris that is how you get a conversation going with intellectual input from a variety of people on here or you can continue to just calling people twat you dozy twat And since you have begun posting here it is certainly true you have developed a reputation for witty repartee in much the same way a hound might pass wind and then lick its arse.
