To be fair the only "truth" is that which is.
QED situation is that you fucked with the CRT and they took your boat.
I realise this is a bit bad but this says to me "don't fuck with the CRT".
It seems a logical conclusion to arrive at. The simple fact remains that very few people ever have significant problems with the navigation authority. It is a tiny percentage and probably a fraction of those who make the lifestyle choice to just go around unlicenced or unregistered.
Its just the way it is. I think it is better to avoid being one of the people who fucks with the CRT because I like my boat.
Do you see what I mean? It is a numbers game.
Regardless of the behaviour of the navigation authority from a technical standpoint of law if you fuck with them they can take your boat.
It is not a huge leap of understanding to work out it would be better not to fuck with them.
Many thousands of people do manage this.
Quod Erat Demonstrandum.
Because It Has Been Demonstrated.

The simplest question is "When faced with a boater who refuses to licence or get his boat BSS certificated, should CRT be able to remove this boat from the waterways when numerous warnings have been ignored?"
I think the overwhelming majority of legal, compliant boaters would say "Yes". I tried at the time to persuade Tony Dunkley to adopt a different course of action and warned him that his actions would inevitably lead to the seizure of his boat and just received a load of abuse in return, so as far as I'm concerned sympathy is just a word in the dictionary, somewhere between shit and syphillis.

Not quite correct, . . C&RT 'stole' it. You also say - " The simple fact remains that very few people ever have significant problems with [C&RT] the navigation authority". Were you rather less stupid than you obviously are, and rather more in touch with reality, you would realise that the truth of the matter is that every boat owner who keeps and/or uses a vessel on C&RT controlled waters actually has a massive problem, . . it's called the C&RT.

Theft is a criminal offence so report it to the Police and they will track down and arrest the perps and restore your property to you.

I'm afraid I was baiting Tony slightly there. It was a bit rude in a way and the wording I was expecting was "boat owners have just the navigation authority they deserve" or similar.
It was reasonably similar to be fair.
The simple fact is that thousands of people have boats, pay for the use of the system and jump through the hoops. All the while having many hours of pleasurable boating.
It really isn't all that terrible.
