I think widebeams should be subjected to an extra licence fee which could be called "the width across tax" or "twat tax" for short.

Anybody filled in the latest bogus consultation yet ? Can't see the point as there really is no "consultation" insofar as our opinions might genuinely be taken into consideration..... In fact, I'd bet my boat that the next round of licence hikes has already been agreed and all but implemented. Besides, I look forward to the email reminder to my personal, private email address when they haven't received my "anonymous" response.

Besides, I look forward to the email reminder to my personal, private email address when they haven't received my "anonymous" response. I’m torn between not bothering, because it only encourages them and it won’t do any good. On the other hand if nobody fills it in trying to counter what they want. Then they say look everyone agrees with us. I can’t decide yet.

Yes, I know what you mean. I always vote because so very many people died for me to have the right to - even though I know now my vote is all too often pointless and wasted.
Like you, I will probably back down and complete the "consultation" because without doing so I can never complain about the outcome.

without doing so I can never complain about the outcome. A common misconception.

without doing so I can never complain about the outcome. A common misconception. In my experience, women can complain about anything regardless of trivial considerations such as "just cause".

A complaint without having participated is rather futile. If everyone responded, then a FOI could be raised after the outcome is announced to see how the 'survey' was taken into account.

But.. but .... what FOI result could ever be invoked when all our email addresses and responses are guaranteed to be "anonymous"...??!?

I replied to DJS regarding the survey with this (won't make any odds, but hey ho); Hi Having received this survey from you, I will decline to participate given the heavy slant to which it has been developed. Please refrain from contacting me again, and remove my details from your database. Regards
I also sent a copy to MRS (market research society).

Yes you seem to have a few misconceptions. Did the Cuban revolution fail to occur because Señor Castro didn't submit his ballot in the national elections?
