So from April the first crt are charging Β£10 a night to moor in Liverpool. How long until they try to charge extra to moor anywhere on the canal? CRT are out of control and need putting back in their box.

Salthouse Dock. I was half thinking of going to Liverpool this year, still might but would rather it was free as I am extremely parsimonious.

CRT are out of control and need putting back in their box. They are running around like chickens with no heads. No long term plans, no initiatives, no idea whatsoever. Utterly ridiculous ignorance and stupidity from a mindless organisation that is totally clueless. Sack the whole sorry shower and start again.

I canβt help but feel itβs the thin end of the wedge with crt. If they thought they could get away with it, there would be parking meters on every mooring. Donβt forget theyβve introduced pre-bookable or should I say pre payable moorings in London as well.

Liverpool was a pretty good deal. Free power and water on the moorings. Which was very nice thank you, but who actually paid for the free electricity? Answer, every boater regardless of whether they ever went to Liverpool or not. I can see an argument which says why should every boater have to contribute to free electricity in Salthouse dock? That said Β£10 is quite a lot of electricity!

At the end of the day there is a massive funding problem rapidly approaching.
It isn't going to all of a sudden get better so I think people on boats can expect to pay more and given that this is the only group who actually rely on having water in the cut and infrastructure which works it does seem reasonable in some ways.

Another person who has fallen for crts propaganda. They are not a poor organization, they hemorage money on the wrong things. All of their major maintenance works are sub contracted and then sub contracted again. Any job you can do that to is priced to high. Thereβs a massive saving there and another massive saving could be made by culling some of the useless managers. But letβs just keep bashing the boaters.

I haven't fallen for anyone's propaganda Kris.
I'm just being realistic.

A massive funding problem? (What drugs are you on today then?) Crt has received over 2 billion quid in 10 years, that's 1 million quid a mile. That's not an insignificant sum, depending of course on how you squander-mismanage it.

I'm just being realistic. ππππ So I assume that you think it is unrealistic to expect increases in costs to boaters. I wish I had your optimism !
