I've seen this mentioned in the press.
He's only 23. Surely this must be newspaper nonsense, based on his Dad's coaching position.
I cannot see what he could possibly gain from such a move. With Blackadder in charge at Bath, I believe they are on the rise.
I need a Baaarth fan to reassure me....Stumpy, where are you?

I was talking to Matt Bananahands only last week, and he said George was committed to Bath for a good while yet. The only speculation of a rumour I could see was on Planet Rugby's site. See HERE !!! I'm going to send Delta a PM, and ask him if would be good enough to create a Rugby Board, so that this thread and the rugby thread are all together. Stumpers

Maybe just a 'vehicle' for fast Eddie to promote international players staying in the Aviva. Article (much like your link) in the Times today, frightened me. Ford's going to be a world class player for the next ten years. What about you, you name dropper. Talking to Mat Banahan Rog

Rumours he is being tapped up by us and Leicester!
Talk of 550k per year for his services, can't see uncle Keith stumping that up. I wonder if it would be as good as when Joe came to play for us.

I've heard that too. But like you said, it's just a rumour. Perhaps Craig needs to consider a pay review before he loses him.

Surely it can't all be about money.
The way things are going this season it looks like Baarth are more likely to be in the prizes than those two.

At that sort of money he is a very expensive luxury, the money washing around and being talked up is bonkers. Cruden apparently had a 750K price tag, Uncle Keith blanched and left it at that Meanwhile, cheap as chips club stalwart Myler keeps us ticking over!

Have to agree Gazza Money is starting to become a cancer in rugby. Look at the Sam Burgess fiasco we had. It was reported he was tempted away from the Austrukinfalian Crowes Rabbitohs with an offer of £270,000 of the initial transfer fee (an initial offer by The RFU to split the costs between Craig and themselves never materialised, and Craig was forced to pay for the whole bundle). Then there was the actual transfer fee of £500,000. So that's a total of £770,000, just to get him over here. Then he was paid £15,000 match fee for his England caps x5 = £75,000, plus he got £38,332 for his share in the £1.19 million World Cup bonus, which was distributed amongst S Lancasters squad, plus he got his Bath salary. Then he Foooked Off after only one year into his three year contract. Dogless I wouldn't worry too much about Rotherham!! If you think you've got problems, my brother and I have inherited shares in Stockport County recently, and I detest Foolsball .

You are right of course.
But what I meant was, a player at a successful club will gain financial reward from club and country as a consequence.
When Saints turn it around this season and win everything, their players will be in greater demand, and fast Eddie will be hammering at the doors of Franklins Gardens.
The money will come on the back of success, there's no need to chase it, especially at 23.
I see Baarth have splashed the cash again to bring in two new players to cover for international commitments.

I'd upset him with my last post. Just trying to brighten his day but don't tell him. It'll be our secret.
In fairness, Saints will be in the play offs, I'm certain of that.

Gazza would probably agree at present.
They'll come good.
So are you going to do a Neville brothers at Stockport? When can we expect the tv series to be aired?
