Hi,
I've just joined the forum and am a newbie to the inland waterways. Before you ask Kelper, I don't have a boat yet, though I've paid my initial deposit on a new build. Estimated launch date of Monday 8th January 2018 so a long, wait!
Regards to all,
Garry

Hello and welcome schooner, could I pry as to how you heard about thunderboaty Of course you can. I was following Nigel M and the Leigh Ravenscroft thread on the CWDF when it was locked by whoever. Following on from this, other threads were locked and threads began to disappear without notice. I wasn't aware that Thunderbolt existed at this point but several members kept giving clues on some of the threads. I think it was Rog who posted the name on CWDF so I thought I would go and check it out.
I've recently retired from work and thrown off the shackles of working life and being managed by control freaks. I don't like how the CWDF site is currently managed, it reminds me of my school days and particularly vindictive teachers. That's why I'm here.

Welcome. Can we ask which builder you have chosen for your new-build? D J Bridgeman at Hixon will be the shell builder and Cain Narrowboats based at Hull Marina will be fitting it out.

Welcome to Thunderboat Schooner.
What size will your boat be? Will you be a leisure boater or a live aboard when the build is complete?
