Thanks for that. As far as I know my blood pressure is ok so I will do head above feet if the boat is sloping at all. I find it interesting and noticed Tadworth's comment about headaches if your feet are higher than your head which has made me think about sleeping standing up as a hangover cure. Hangover headaches are normally caused by dehydration hence if you can the best thing to do is to drink a pint of water before you go to sleep. So even if you could sleep standing up it probably wouldn't make any difference.

Head higher than feet every time or I feel there's too much blood in my head, but in a boat even with an empty water tank the difference isn't enough to worry.
And a vote for being pissed making the up/down thing ... more crucial.

In my experience, only if someone pushes you over. Not sure how common my experiences are though.

I think Sar* ahoy aka Sar* hello may have a technique possibly using straps. Standing inside a tube could also work I think but it would be quite technical to get into the tube. Eta did not see sarhello's post. I'm impressed you can stand and sleep without any extra equipment *Sar was separated from the other parts of the username just in case anyone thought there was some sort of gender thing going on. I assume Sar simply means Search and rescue?

I assume Sar simply means Search and rescue? It takes a lot of practice involving lots of drinking, I'm not going to deny other equipment is involved but that could be a post/bar/lamppost/shelf or pretty much anything that remains stable! Sar meant what you thought. A reminder to me of happier days.
