Then it's time to make them. Why aren't boatbuilders putting in banks of batteries rather than diesel engines? I have the vision but no-one's listening.

one is cost .... proper traction batteries are expensive 2 is weight .... proper traction batteries are heavy 3 is size .... the power/cu.metre density of battery banks is way smaller than the power stored in the average diesel tank. 4 runs on from 3 .... the range of a diesel powered boat is far greater in any weather conditions and day or night than a battery powered.
Peterboat reckons we are at that point in the development where for some applications it's practical ....... but I reckon not yet for all
