I knew someone who got run over by a steam train. What bits of him are missing?
(Or did he "just" get knocked over by one)?

An absolute beautiful park of the UK. Thanks for sharing.
As I've said I have spent many holidays on Skye. Once you round lock lomand on the A82 the scenery is stunning.
Never gone via mallaig even though our cottage was a ten minute walk from the ferry point the other side in Armadale.
Sat in the pier there fishing as you do and we've chatted to the salmon boat crew that come out of mallaig. Interesting job.

Continuous Moorers on the Cally are in a different league! But just one question, how do you know they are continuous moorers? Because I have a sense of humour?

We enjoyed our short stay in Mallaig mainly because we were able to wander along the pier with all the fishing boats tied up lots of work going on. And specifically because there were half a dozen seals floating around close to the pier waiting for fish. Difficult to photo with a camera phone but here is one. Well they looked cuter in the flesh!

Proper grim up there, look at the old style train... This is true. Nicola Sturgeon keeps all the wealth for her cronies in the slums of the central belt, and the Highlanders are left to starve. It’s the Highland Clearances all over again. Ethnic cleansing I’d say. Shes is doing a fandabidozi job i would say!

Continuous Moorers on the Cally are in a different league! luv that barge - proper job and a great name . ............. motor fifie looks out of place on a canal, and she's trimmed all wrong, probably needs to fill the fish hold to bring her down to her marks .............. is that a cally-mcbrayne ferry laid up for the winter? great pictures, reminds me of touring there in the 80's - loved by all the family except for the midges that you will have avoided ............... it seemed that in the Highlands all roads lead to Fort William and you can get too much of that particular town on the third repeat visit.

Think it was just a trip boat. Last time I visited Ft William was many years ago, it was a shit hole. Seems better now, they have bypassed the Main Street (pedestrianised). We stayed in a Travelodge right in town, £40 for a perfectly good night’s sleep. Quite a nice newly done-up Wetherspoons underneath which was ideal for breakfast (but crap for beer, only Doombar on!). There’s a brand spanking new Markies food shop, a drive through Costa and all the other accoutrements of modern shopping. Oh and following a tip off I took 3 empty 19kg Calor cylinders to a gas dealers in the industrial estate, £31 each as opposed to £49 in Aviemore. That paid for the petrol! There is a branch of the University of the Highlands and Islands there, so a reasonable student population which brightens the place up a bit. Wouldnt want to live there though!

What happened to him?? He had a tender behind. He certainly did, after he was chuffed to bits.
