A lock knife, with me continuously since the early 80's. I have a few things I've owned since birth, but they were temporarily left behind when I first left home, so as I read it they don't count for this thread.

I have this garden gnome that was the first present my dad brought his mum when he was 16...for her life time and his it remained undamaged... when he died i brought it home and managed to break its foot!...I like to think my dad would have said..."only you could do that"...his words when I dropped my wedding dress train in the mud before going into church...and he repeated them many many times.

I still have the copy of the Daily Sketch I was wrapped in when I was found abandoned in a gutter in 1959.

In my bookshelf there are three boys adventure story books ...... I received them as a child but they were originally my fathers and pre-date the first world war.

Just realised I still have a steiff teddy bear I was given when I was 1 in 1975. A small bear with lots of repairs done by my mother. I had handed it down to my daughters but they reminded me today that it is my teddy. I had forgotten about that until teddy bears were mentioned by another person earlier in the thread.
