I used to buy a lot from the far east, like you quote, most is shit, but you do get some good guys out there, only problem is they are aware they are good guys and charge more, so you end up going back to the shit guys and buying shit...

I've a 20 year old pair of Dunlop's that were Β£15 from George Alan in Rushden. Sadly George Alan are no longer but happily my Wellies are almost as good as the day I brought them.
Hunter wellies? Shove em up your arse, they are for fashion victim toffs.
I've got a damn good pair of Dunlop waders too.
Never really rated their car or bike tyres though.

Only someone from the land of webbed feet that is rapidly turning into a dry desert can make a pair of wellies last 20 years.

They look better than bargemast's home made waders, although his are probably better.

Hunters used to be made at the Gates factory in Dumfries, every rellie of mine had a pair as I knew the manager through work. At that time they were a great bit of kit comfy and long lasting does worry me as to where they make their cam belts now................

Only someone from the land of webbed feet that is rapidly turning into a dry desert can make a pair of wellies last 20 years. Oi cheeky!! They were originally got to keep my feet dry in the grim underbelly of Carlsberg. They must of done some miles now, between work, dog walking, trudging round Motocross and Enduro tracks, boating, gardening, playing in the snow. You name it they've done it. I do keep em clean and in the cupboard under the stairs so they don't get left in the shed in all weathers. I'll be gutted when they finally give up they are like a comfortable old friend, only in the shape of a green Dunlop Welly.

Just upgrading an edge router tonight over Skipton way and noticed Made in China displayed proud as punch on all the cable connections... This brought me to think about all the time Foxy was on the interweb whilst moored over in Gargrave, all his personal info including passwords and porn viewing preferences will now be in the hands of those sneaky sly Chinese!π±π± Prepare for the fallout fellaπ₯

Ive got several pairs of Wellington Boots..not to match with outfits but family decided they'd make a good present for someone half way up a hill who waded in swampy land building knotweed pyres. One pair are so pretty..never been worn in 3 years and they r the only pair coming with me.. New life..New(old) Wellington Boots..not dunlop nor Hunters but Joules....

I have to say Andy's job looks complicated. It's amazing how many bytes are whizzing through those cables. The flashing lights are pretty - I expect they have some 'deeper meaning'.

Never really rated their ... bike tyres though. Oh so young! Dunlop TT100s were the bees knees when I had my Triumph Trident in the 1970s.

Never really rated their ... bike tyres though. Oh so young! Dunlop TT100s were the bees knees when I had my Triumph Trident in the 1970s. My friend still had them on his TR6 in the mid 90's - they looked more like a trials tyre! Tyres that I liked for 80's road bikes were Avon Roadrunners and Metzeler ME33/55 A mate was keen on Continentals - I couldn't see any advantage spending more than the Avon's or Metzelers for a tyre that wasn't leagues ahead on the road. The little VFR has Bridgestone Battalaxes on it, very good match to the bike.
