No drinks trolley.
No air hostesses.
No engine.
I'll accept the view's pretty spectacular though.

After after having the hand of god pluck us up to 5000’ (repeatedly) and soaring with the eagles - literally - I come back here and find the same old bickering going on. You lot need to get out more. Or up more, anyway!

It's fine as long as you don't mention the 'boater lost his boat' thread. That's getting even sweatier, but after 40 odd pages I suppose it's to be expected. This is thunderboat after all Pity you didn't get a shot of the eagles. I am extremely envious of your views of them. Rog

Anyway, I had a lovely unbirthday with some great Scottish thermals. Seems odd that you can have “thermals” when it was 0 on the surface and -6C at 5000’ But you can and they were very good. I flew down to Crianlarich and back, about 200km in just over 2 hours, it was incredibly clear and fantastic views and snowscapes. On the way back scraped over Schiehallion to pick up the thermals coming off the sunward slopes. Hordes of walkers out, most never look up! Also spent about 5 minutes circling up to 5000’ in the company of 2 eagles. I think they were juveniles but nevertheless one decided to have a go and swooped at my wing, talons out, before realising that at 25metres wingspan I was much bigger! I took this picture of Loch Tummel because it is where some friends have bought a house, so it’s not the best view but not bad, I submit. That is spectacular Nick...what a lovely view...Perhaps one day I will get up there and see for myself...its really kinda special...

I stopped near Tampere to sleep for 5 hours in my RAB 1000g sleeping bag. Minus 3 Centigrade when I woke up. Another 5 hours and back home. Orf to bed for another 40 winks (opportunity for you there, Rog!). Car seemed OK on way home, 'jumping' a bit, but first thing tomorrow is to arrange to get that inspected for damage. Photos of my little trip up here before next weekend.

Thinking yesterday whilst cruising, that April 1st would be the ideal time for any closet poofters to test the water, so to speak, in announcing they are 'coming out' ! 👌
