The boat that's been moored behind me all afternoon has decided 8 o'clock is the time to start running his engine ffs.

Haha oh the irony. But yes see my other thread, we are in exactly the same position. For once we are on the same page. Shocking!

Oh dodgy internet connections means it didn’t post and I’ve lost it. I’ll have to re-write. Grrrrr.

I wouldn't mind but he's had all day to run his engine.

I might as well post my version of the rant on this thread. We are moored behind a boat we saw at Fradley last night, so they, like us, have cruised 6 hours or so today. It’s a lovely tranquil evening here, just below Haywood lock. Dappled sunshine, tweeting birds and ok the occasional train! 19:55 and the stupid selfish people have started their noisy smoky engine, and put the boat in gear too. 20:20 and it’s still running. Why do people have to have ridiculous crap boats that are noisy, smokey and can’t exist for more than a few hours without the engine running? I hate stupid thoughtless selfish people with crap boats who think the rules don’t apply to them. Or are too stupid to even know what the rules are.

Sorted, went and got him to turn it off. Well done. Ours has turned it off too (didn’t have to ask him). So now we are all sweetness and light, eh krissypoos <wink>.

I made quite a good friend on the back of a noisy frame generator sparking into life at 06:30 up at Salters Lode. He had a cut down Ocean 30 with a nice big bathing platform across the transom. I was up anyway thanks to a certain Dwarf, she was pacified with a bottle, dog was fed walked and emptied while the unholy cacophony of a powerful frame Genny sang it's awful dawn chorus. When I came back with the dog a friendly and apologetic chap made his acquaintance with me. 'I'm Lee, nice to meet you mate, sorry about the noise, it's my Mrs, she won't go anywhere unless she can do her hair' I replied:- No worries mate, you need either a new Mrs or generator We see each other a few times a year, he had now progressed to a humongous wide beam with all the mod cons and more importantly the bastard frame Genny is no more 👍🍻🚢

Get yourself a bag of Desiree spuds for the next arsehole encounter 👍🍻🔨🚢 You're not suggesting he put one up the exhaust pipe because he likes that sort of thing are you, Gazza? You missed generator gate? I thought it a good juxtaposition of that and his ongoing jealousy of Mrs Tabby's fine craft

Come on, Nick, that's twice you've said 'Haywood'. Well that could be because that’s what it’s called! You should check your map!
