first one in apparently.😉 That did make me laugh! What generally happens is everyone chats amongst themselves and sorts out who goes where and does what. The person on the paddles gives a quick everyone ready, usually replied with a thumbs up and job sorted. Same goes for whoever operates the guillotine. No need for a risk assessment, method statement, project manager, lock keeper, team leader, supervisor, assistant supervisor, volunteers, canteen staff et al. 🚢🍻👍 you forgot the health and safety manager

When I'm at home, I rarely lock the doors other than overnight.
However I have a mate who locks all the doors even when he goes into the garden.
I've always assumed it's just different states of mind.
I think the same must be true of the 'I'm in charge' brigade re lock use.
It seems rather over the top and controlling to me, but I'm no judge as I never consider such things, just crack on.

I hate that lock. Had to work it by hand a couple of times.

Having recently watched the amateur dramatics of the finchers attempting to moor their boats, I don't think they should be passing judgement on anyone. At least not until they have both been on a helmsmanship course. Their recent antics at Cosgrove, wolverton and Rickmansworth were shambolic.

Rog Well a guy on the run from a nut house tried to break into my house after me..he'd followed me back from the bus stop when the kids were young..so I lock all my doors always... Even if I'm in the summer house back door locked in case someone goes in and I don't see..

Rog were the same. we used to live in a tower block with a really bad reputation. however we only locked the door when we went to bed to. still do it now.
