My Chevy Astro does multiple things its a car that holds five and a huge amount of luggage!! or its van which went to blackpool this weekend to pick up a big bath [ebay bargain] its a camper the rear seat is a three way electric bed it has a sink and a 1 ring burner, tv, radio, pull out awning, etc and because its an American vehicle I can still go to those shows. I fitted a solar panel on the roof for its 2 leisure batteries as well as the split charging system. Performance wise its 4.3 V6 is adequate and as its on LPG its cheap and very clean to run. Its also very comfortable with its big leather electric seats, aircon, cruise control etc etc. Having had tourers in the past I find them hard work, slow, difficult to get into small places just to much effort really, and I had powerful cars to pull them, Rolls Royce silver shadow 2 and a 66 ford Galaxie convertible. So I went down the day van plus way but its horses for courses isnt it Who on earth manhandles a touring caravan into small places any longer? Just place it with precision using a remote control motor mover. Simple. Is this like a girly button, but for caravans?

Yes that is what some caravanners actually call them, usually the ones who are jealous because they were too tight to invest in one.

Never had remote movers on my Caravans, Always managed with reversing. Have watched a few chaps use them though and they do look attractive. When i've used the van on my own the only real problem was reversing the car up to the van in order to hitch up, I used to put an awning pole in the ground at the spot where I needed the tow bar to be, so when i reversed knocked the pole over...bingo! This is our first 'van with one and being a twin axle it is a god send, especially when I am placing it back in it's storage pitch which has two very expensive 'vans on either side and a small space to get it into. There is no need to worry about slotting it back in using the mover and damaging either our 'van or the others. Stats I have read recently suggest something like 75% to 80% of new 'vans sold go off the dealers forecourt with a mover fitted, even single axles.

My mate Richard supplies and fits them, and they are a godsend especially to older caravaners even so he has told me of failures on these which when you were doing your parking between two other vans would be smashing so to speak!! I get why you have gone to a van as I really enjoyed my time with them, however the camper and boat for the moment is my way forward

They normally fail 'safe'. Like most things I suspect some idiot operating it has probably been searching around for something other than selves to blame for causing damage.

(Including some of the idiots I come across in forums like this) (Cue the infantile response - "it takes one to know one")

It's much more fun having digs at mp's on Twitter. Some of their naive and somewhat limp replies are hilarious. Benyon is making a right prick of himself on there at the moment.

Don't know I don't do Twitter. But I can imagine it being more fun than communicating with idiots that come on the Internet to act tough because they dare not say boo in their real life's. They get quite brave when typing but you just know they'd be too scared to say the same things face to face.

He's one of those that if you clipped him around the earhole, he'd run straight to the old bill. Shit himself if he bumped into you, his type are like that.
