You can spot indulgers, they look like a cross between a drunk looking for a hedge to fall in and a zombie. Gawd knows what the attraction is. It's the new glue sniffing, though not exactly new. Last time I went to Strawberry fair in Cambridge 15 years ago, by the evening it was hard to walk anywhere on the huge common without stepping on a handfull and going arse over tit. Literally thousands and thousands of them, the makers must be coining it. really dunno why folks bother..they must have sad miserable existences if they need stuff like this.. Yeah, they need educating in the joys of ale. Phil

It's not a new thing, we briefly experimented with nitrous oxide in the early 1980s, you could buy it from Timothy Whites. Its not new that's true. It may seem to be an odd indicator but when I used to spend a lot of time chucking a stupidly powerful magnet in the water about 10 years ago I never found any of these bottles. Its definitely got more popular. A bit of a laugh. Say NO to drugs innit. Probably 'cos they're stainless.

They aren't stainless. Just chrome plated.
I did do a short batch of magnets called the "supamagnet" where I used these bottles as protective casings for powerful neodymium magnets and fixed a cord into the body. Handy magnet for getting the windlass out. Canal boat magazine had some off me for a promotion a few years ago.
