Bird box rescued..in hindsight using small step ladder closed up to balance on to get up the tree was never really going to end well... now all i have to do is repair the bird box

Hope no 'birds' were injured.... I reckon she's okay. It would be awkward to post on the forum with injuries consistent with falling off a ladder

Yes..this stage is long and painful..pity couldn't opt for c section!...not sure what that equates to in the house buying analogy..gotta ponder that(bit early for vino).. Cash buyer looking for a bargain ?

It would be awkward to post on the forum with injuries consistent with falling off a ladder fortunately there's a lot of nice shrubs to cushion and its as well large step ladder in storage....I thought it was quite funny as the ladder opened in slow motion as I clung to thin branches I ache but to-days another day and no more out of reach stuff needing me to have a go.. Here I am surrounded by stuff I'm sorting just muddling through and middle son texts to ask me to have his son(18 month toddler) overnight as they wanted a night off... I said no...

Happy to read that you survived the fall patty, I'm not overly happy with the way your children treat you, one that has the estate agent spy on you, and the other that want's you to babysit their 18months old baby, instead of them helping you out in your struggle to prepare the place for your hopefully soon departure from there. Best of luck, and good that you did manage (for once ?) to say "NO !" Peter.

Well still bumbling along..apparently 'moving' into the new digs Dec 5th..I still wait for notification ref here..its a crazy world however decided to pack few boxes but will restrain myself from sawing up chest of drawers and wardrobe and also got massively heavy memory foam mattress to cut up....Im hoping dads old bow saw equal to the task as my 3 other saws appear to have disappeared. I do have an electric bread knife.....
Todays Patty's Panic revolved around a wheel of the car.. I thought it was falling off so I crept to the tyre garage at 30mph with hazards on only to learn it was a bit of cosmetic rubber trim sticking out...It appears that I provided much needed entertainment on what could have been a boring Monday morning...... Happy Days...
In case all goes through Ive just invited myself to eldest sons for about 10 days via daughter in law...I'm sure someone will notify him in due course that his mum's coming to stay.... London towpath trail waits....

For foam furniture it must have The flammability tags attached or they can’t sell it so will not want it, but wood chests etc are ok. Give them a call if interested.

You need a good man in your life. I'm not available, but Stabby is. It could be an interesting relationship. The heart on his shower room floor is akin to mistletoe.

Latest update..at almost 5pm last night.... Having been told to start packing, I'm now told to hold off but prepare myself... Seems her sols have now indicated they don't think they can exchange and complete on dates indicated by them... Would I like more time?.. No says I ..I have storage and removals booked and Im going away...
So now what?..I'm angry..do I cancel everything..I put lots stuff in sons store, I lugged down to daughter all my heavy plants in wooden containers and my garden gargoyles(they a b heavy) Sols say tense time as its will it won't it phase...they won't commit to say it'll sell..not yet legally binding I don't often feel rage bubbling and I wanna shout, but I won't its years since I lost it Ive not sorted out forwarding mail or cancelling sky fortunately. If it all fails at this late stage I'm putting House back to being a home and clearing off First off phoning Estate Agent who is selling this to tell them they have 24 hours before I cancel move and then if she still wants it it must be tied in with my move to the next place...they seem to be the ones who have moved it on to this point. The woman buying this wanted next week and I accommodated that..so if it aint gonna be I need to get life back on track.

So what happened today? Hoping for a good outcome or at least a 'wait and see what happens tomorrow' scenario.

Not a lot... Seemingly she still wants this place and wants next week(i won't believe until exchange) Seems her sols having been away want more time..they are still asking for stupid things they've already got. Daughter(well you just have to let her say her bit) has indicated if they don't exchange Friday must be delayed and tied in with move to next house as I'm going away. Ive spoken to the removal people who have given me until Friday to make a decision otherwise I pay the lot(move + storage).. I sit surrounded by a mess of part filled boxes. I still have wardrobe plus bed to get rid of I still have large chest of drawers to take apart to see if I can get it down stairs I still have washing machine to sort It may be manic filled weekend. It may not. I have childminding duties Saturday during the day as son on nights and his partner working....it appears that the little one had a stomach bug that night they ask me to have him overnight....... I wait...either way the next few days are not going to be easy. I've let the Rayburn out in order to give it a thorough clean/hover out soot, check fire bricks etc..its gonna get chilly. Meanwhile down at garden perimeter a rather large mound rises up from depths.......?Mildred mole has moved in..
