Aren't you forgetting your own rules, it has to have been taken for this competition and not been published anywhere else before. It would be more genuine if it had been taken with this competition in mind, yes. But I'm prepared to look through my fingers at that. As for not having been flaunted elsewhere first - absolutely. Where is your loyalty to Thunderboat?

How to overly complicate a very simple thing. Put foxy in charge. Well, yes I do have to agree. A rather simpler set of rules, which would undoubtedly attract more entries, might be... 1) Members may choose to submit any photograph of their choosing to the competition. 2) Other members vote on these photographs and the one which receives the most votes is the winner.

And now you've run out of film? (still 4 weeks to try and take one without pasting it onto FB!) But I'm at work for the next four weeks so won't be out cruising, and in the limited time I have free I have neither the time nor the inclination to drive to canal locations to seek out photo-opportunities. Take a picture of your boat at night/sunrise/sunset with all the cabin lights on, or a photo of yourself sitting by the fire in your pyjamas with your pipe in your mouth reading Winter in Moominland, or of boats that pass you.

Where would we be with too many rules? Correct, The 2018 Thunderboat photo competition

How to overly complicate a very simple thing. Put foxy in charge. Yet, strangely, I drive 300 kilometres every workday, never get lost, and always come home in time for tea.
