mouse like dogless still hasnβt quite got to grips with posting pictures. His entries will come through me - seeing as I can occasionally be a gob shite who canβt hold his own piss Iβm as likely as not to post a preview on any of the photo competition threads...... my 'Theres non so blind as those that cannot see!' Quote Is aimed at the fox, with his arsehole attitude about going against the rest of the forum members views towards a comp! π It's a photo competition, and, kindly, attempted to be organised by me, as no-one else could be bothered (until I started and up piped the nasty and spiteful Jenlyn from his cave, and magnetman decided we should all post pictures of ourselves naked whilst on our boats). It is not an exercise in Democracy. Democracy, anyway, is a dubious concept anyway, with 75% of the population of any country being thickoes. Go to the House of Lords and moan about Democracy, or to the European Parliament, where Democracy is an entirely alien thought. When you've picked those thorns out of your hair and made yourself presentable.

mouse has treated his Perky to a heat exchanger descale. He sent me this having followed my instructions to the letter A bright winters afternoon boating to the Ship at Brandon Creek. Lucky git! Not being picky but isn't that mooring at the picnic area just upstream of the Ship? Phil mouse has gone to ground by the look of it. Greedy sod stopped there to get a burger from the van in the lay-by off the A10 - next stop was the Ship Hence my boating to the Ship rather than moored outside. Top spotting from a picnic table and a house though π»π

I'm waiting for you to tell me when I can post some Any time up to midnight Friday 23rd November, as per instructions in post #1 of Photo Competition thread. E-mail or PM. I do realise a certain trust in me in involved, but I think my past actions, for instance as per last year's calendar distribution with people having sent me their details, have been proved to be honourable. As for the voting process, I haven't thought about that too much yet. Nearer the time for that. Let's see what happens. Please do not send me pictures of foxes 'having it off'. (yes, you know who you are, whoever sent me that!).

Or does it contravene a rule, my drowneded fox had already been posted, so wasn't eligible.

There are some good bits to being retired! Forgot to tick off the last two, but did carry them out!!!! PS, has anyone got/know the whereabouts of a Perkins/vdo engine oil pressure gauge? Try www.parts4engines.com/. They have many on their website depending on Perkins model.

Mouse hasn't really gone to ground, several things got in the way of prompt replies. 1.Friday night is beer night! Plus I had to pay my Christmas party subs at the delightfully named " Fighting Cocks"!! 2. An early morning bus ride to Gert Yarmouth. Scoping out the shops. that was OK till we found the Theater Tavern open at 9am selling Tramps Beer (Strongbow) at Β£2.00 a pint. Ho Hum. Back to Lewstuff and Notleys were selling tramps beer at Β£1.50 a pint. (Rude not to)!
Been down the Parts4 engine route brummieboy, but only tacho/hourmeter gauges.
Junked the original oil pressure gauge Before I came across a firm on the net that refurbish instrument. Poo!
As for photies, I lack the skills/mental ability to upload them so if I find any likely candidates, they will come via Gazza.
Now relaxing after a fight against a Force 4 southerly up the prom back home. Better southerly than a North Easterly!

Apologies but I was not able to have a look in the shed at bell weir boats today. Thing is I bought another boat yesterday its in shepperton and I need to collect it. On way now.
Its a lovely 6'6" GRP dinghy and the best bit is it is not a pram. Will fit on the fordeck upside down when yot not in use.
I hate pram dinghies. This one has a rounded front not pointed so it has some buoyancy. Going to be lovely for my yot.
Will get in the shed as soon as I can .
Picture of class dinghy tomorrow as am still boating and almost dark.
Dinghy in shepperton yot in Cookham so a 7 hour run down the River was required. Bit of a nuisance but I'm a survivor.

Managed to have a look in the shed today. Some gauges but not the right one. Will keep an eye out. Only problem with going in that shed is I always come out with toys. Bought a couple of chrome old school ventilators and a pair of heavy duty 35mm ratchet straps all for a tenner I did want these things anyway.

Surprised Parts4Engines can't help, they list a good range on the website. I find they seem to have most things Perkins. Only other option I can think of is maybe Land Rover spares. They used a lot of perkins 4.**** engines in the earlier models with individual gauges rather than instrument panels.
