The river where I'm moored with my boats was having a planned chomage between oct 15 and nov 4, during which the level where I am was gong down as low as the down stream cill of the weir, as it was going to be free-flowing, so I decided to move to a safer mooring during this period, which was only 4 locks upstream. But........ instead of being able to go back downstream to my own mooring, VNF all of a sudden if going to do some completely unneccesary tricks from where I am right now to further upstream between nov1 and nov 30, which means that I'm stuck here until dec 1 before I can go back to my own mooring. What's much worse is that without notifying me they all of a sudden lowered the level 3 locks further upstream where my old barge has a mooring 1m10, and because of that I'm most unhappy and angry, as they know all my contact details, and only 1 phonecall from them to tell me what they were going to do, would have been all that was needed for me to anchor my boat mid-river, until the level went up again, but this must have been to much effort for them. I'll post a few photos of the actual situation there. here you can see that the rudder is almost lifted of it's pintels Peter.

That looks pretty grim... Hope it pans out ok I think that it looks pretty grim...too, and I'm counting on another sleepless nights with all sorts of nasty happenings going through my head. Been looking all afternoon and this evening for a real sharp knife, to take with me if I can find some time to find out who the responsable person for this lowering of the pound is, of course they'll all say :"It wasn't me". In the past I would have gone there with my Kalasnikov, but your not allowed to walk around in public with one of these anymore, hat's why I was looking for the knife. I may have to beg MrStabby to lend me his, as that looks just the job . Peter.

Thats a right bugger of a job they have done to you!! the word you are looking for is which Twat did it!! I find pistols are easier to conceal even with the addition of a silencer, plus if more than one was responsible you will get them all before they can run away/ You do have a lovely looking boat though Peter

Everybody here can write to that bunch of garlic-swilling snail-munching Frogs to ask what they're playing at. E-mail was designed for this.

The French are not to keen on Brexit as they will have to pay more to cover some of the gap. So maybe forgot to call customers with a uk passport.

The boat is still looking rather nice (from a distance) but because of some health problems I haven't been able to do what needs doing to keep the boat in the shape it deserves. I did a few changes straight after arriving here in 2004 after I had the longest cruise I've ever done from a place I'd never been before by barge, which was Berlin. It's a Dutch build Trawler Yacht that a very wealthy Berliner had build for him, his name was Peter too, when he bought his new boat he was the same age as I was when I bought his boat in 2004, only then second hand. The first thing I did was rename the boat as the name was "Bachuss" the god of wine, which didn't fit me as a tee-total, so I named the boat "JOY" much nicer (I think). It was a huge job getting rid of the old name as all the letters where made of steel, and fully welded all around. The next thing was raising the bollards, as I had to kneel down to do the ropes, not ideal for my bad back, now they nice and high, and a real pleasure to work. Hope to be fit enough next year to repaint and revarnish the whole boat, and maybe try to sell her, as I have to try to have some fun before it's too late, and therefor I need the funds. If I win the Loto before I try to sell, I'll keep the boat and go on a very long cruise. Peter.

Writing an E-mail doesn't cause them any pain, and they could even be laughing while reading it, which I don't think somehow they'll do when I'm physicly there. If they do, it may be the last thing they've done in their miserable lives . Peter.

Have they been taking lessons from cart? That could very well be the case Kris, as they've visited several times and met with the useless waterways distroyers of C&RT . Peter.

As Kris already wrote, I'm Dutch, I'm only a permanent resident in Garlic Frog country since 1979, so since a bit more than 2 weeks already. That reminds me of how time flies, even when you're not having fun. Peter.
