Never been a fan of the Old Bill since they abandoned community policing and went for the degree qualified fast track management schemes. However now they have a policy of knocking the Moped Muggers off their bikes, I am wholeheartedly in favour of such a policy.

I'm all for it, as long as they don't knock them off in front of me, and then prosecute for dangerous driving.

I have to admit, I whole heatedly support the coppers knocking criminals off mopeds/motorbikes - I was listening to something on radio 4 a while back which came up in yesterday's new that crims THINK they won't be pursued if they are not wearing a helmet and that's just not the case. The more that can be knocked off the better...

I have heard the Police described as 'A Necessary Evil' and I think that's an apt description.

As long as they don't think me carrying a bag of coal on the back of my little 125 is a crime, and sometimes a fully loaded elsan, it's perfectly fine by me.

Interesting choice of tactic in this pc world of ours..somehow I feel that the 'protectors of the criminals in our society' will try and put a stop to this....

Some of the collisions are being investigated. Awfully sad when an innocent lad riding along the pavement with a bag of stolen phones ends up with a dent in his head Its good news and has had an impact on the crime rate apparently. So good news then.

let's hope they decide to dislodge rogue cyclists from their steeds as well. just a little nudge from time to time should do the trick.

Fella in Renault behind at the traffic lights should of run over his dropped bike at the end!👍

Fella in Renault behind at the traffic lights should of run over his dropped bike at the end!👍 This video seems to be filmed through the rear screen of the car with the bicycle on the back, it's hard to imagine that the driver never looked in his rear-view mirror to see what was happening, and switch the ink spayers on to identify the guy later, or just get out and check how deep you can push a knife like stabby's handtool in his body, that would definitely make him think at least twice the next time he wanted to try this again. (btw I am against violence, but there are limits) Peter.
