Should I add this to my car or bike list? Should I even admit to having owned one?

Should I add this to my car or bike list? Should I even admit to having owned one? Always liked the Bond Bug. TBH, I never really got 3 wheelers, trikes and sidecars, they seem the worst of both worlds. The whole point of 2 wheelers is that you can filter past cars. Mind you, they were a way around the car licence.

Had a super van model, lotsa space in the rear. Very useful. Did spend lots of itβs time on two wheels around corners I remember. Best add when I said girls I meant a girl, my wife now...honest.

You have made me jealous - a Reliant is on my bucket list. Cool set of wheels π Yea, cool wheels Bro. Mine was racing green. Had a mate who slotted a gold wing engine in one. Was quite fast. He was mad.

The Reliant engine was considered to be one of the easiest to convert to steam operation.

another Bond Bug fan here love 'em but could't own one as its a car for someone with a house and garage. Robin is OK but not quite as cool as the bug. Eta just have to nick a random picture of one as they are so good to look at !! One does wonder if this design will reappear as an electric vehicle at some point. The batteries would keep the CoG down and make it more stable. Would make an excellent runabout for the city.

I have a perverse desire to own one and genuinely think they are a cool set of wheels. Some friends of mine from Swindon went to Le Mans 24 hours in a collection of ropey old Reliants, they painted one in Gulf Oil colours, they got as much attention over the weekend as the supercars making the trip down.

I've had Reliants as practical city cars. I've also had original Bond Minicars with either 197 or 250cc Villiers engines. Great fun. If you want a really serious 3 wheeler, look for a Bond 875. These used the Hillman Imp derated engine and gearbox unit. With the sunbeam Stilletto crossflow head and twin carbs, a front spoiler wasessential, and if you had the nerve, 120 mph was attainable with E Type acceleration.
