. Well we’ve not got no Waitrose so for me m and s food is proper posh However having tried M&S's "Best Ever" steak pie and a similar one from Waitrose (I was passing through Abergavenny on my way home) I can confirm I was singularly uninpressed with both. The Waitrose one was full of gristle, and the meat in the M&S one was tough and stringy, I was flossing it out of my teeth for hours! Now that all supermarkets have their own luxury ranges, M&S and Waitrose are nothing special IMHO

I think M&S do the best prepared food (ready meals etc) especially in terms of the variety/range. Often been disappointed with Waitrose. Yes you can get "luxury" ranges in other supermarkets but the variety/range is much less. Anyway, since M&S food is by far the most expensive, it must surely be posh? <hmmmmm…>

Well not living in London we don't have a Fortnum and Mason's just down the road, dahling. No - but you can buy sliced sausage, Scotch pies, rowies and Tunnock's caramel logs any time you like. You don't have to wait for food parcels.
