Well I had been fortunate, again.
Barn find item.
Having had a look around a barn I located a nice little Yamaha 2B outboard in immaculate condition except that the coil is nackered and the carb is waxed up.
So it doesn't work. However having had a look at it it turns out that this outboard was owned by the late great Roger Moore "The Saint" himself.
He signed the cowling with a screw. "007" in his handwriting.
We have had the handwriting authenticated by a handwriting expert. It is his handwriting. A bit boxy but that was because of the screw.
Looking for circa Β£27k for the outboard but would be willing to accept offers.
The propeller is really clean.
Comes with half a litre of vintage 100:1 2 stroke petrol mix put in the tank by the man himself.
Bargain .
If in doubt ask.

Can you verify if it is this actual motor from the film βlive and let dieβ ? Ive been literally searching for days on end to find that actual outboard to add to my insignificant collection of JamesBond memorabilia. π

No it's not that unit. It's quite a lot smaller.
There were other items in the barn one of which is a V4 Johnson outboard which does look similar to your picture so I will investigate further when I have some spare time.

I would be particularly interested in the liferaft from the closing scenes of βYou only live twiceβ if its still in original condition. Or for that matter, Rachel Welchβs white bikini.π

I wish you had told me that earlier as I took the clothing to the dump in the DB5 a few hours ago !
I'll have to go down there in the Lotus a bit later and climb over the security fence.
Or I might be able to cut it with the watch.

A bid for this is a bid to get 'Grasscut' done ... no dither ... no prevarication.
Would I lie to you ?

I was looking for about 74mm. Flexibility is always good so let's say between 70 and 80mm. I know quite a few other people who are interested so if you have several blades perhaps we could do a deal.

Can I bid for the screw he used please? No. It's not for sale. If you want to have a screw you will have to look elsewhere.
