Fingers crossed for you mate, the tanker came up today after getting stuck at Aldwark lock yesterday! there must have been something on the bottom that stopped them getting into the lock deposited after the flood waters went down so be careful mate

Fingers crossed here too.
Years ago I came down the Thames on red boards after quite a big flood and spotted a sunk boat in the middle of the river near Abingdon. It was just below the surface. I reported it to the lock keeper but he just thought I was mad.
Anyway safe boating if you do venture out.

We've had a lovely few days so far on the Shroppie before we go to Lanzagrotty next week.I'ts been chilly but really enjoyable.Love boating when it's cold, crisp & there's cat ice on the cut.Been wearing so many thermal layers,it's a bit like unwrapping pass the parcel when I need the loo !đ

flood level still going down here .... helps that there have been very small tides this week ..... down to about 8 or 9 inches above the quay today.

The sometimes navigable flood control system is living up to its name ! That's a bugger! Although not unexpected, we had an absolute vertical bummer here yesterday afternoon, that followed on from some patch heavy downpours over the last couple of days as well. Looks like being a long winter âšī¸

I saw this morning that it was +8C in Newbury, Berkshire. Here it was -1C which is very mild for December - it should be -25C now. I blame that Greta Thunberg for all that hot air that comes out of her mouth.
