I misread the OP and though the title was “good looking system for back door and hatch” and presumed it was some proposed metric for evaluating men’s arses. Back to pornhub for me, I just noticed that plus of course one has got to ask what "hdoors" are.

I imported 2 Cays Locks from Spain, they are common over there, lots of double leaf doors. Yale type key operating a sliding bolt. My hatch has 2 bolts into the frame, a small block of wood in the right place for the top bolt. They are now available here, commonly for gates, they are keyed inside and out, whereas mine have a push button release on the inside. Just leave key in lock while locked inside, for safety.

Would an Enfield garage door lock bolt do? Yale type thing on the exterior and slide across bolt on the inside. Someone was on about them on a Facebook Narrowboat Group.

Just had a look yes a similar thing. I found something else while I was mooching about. It was an ERA multipurpose brass effect lockable sliding bolt.
