You really are a idiotic shit stirring tosser ..... when he drove he had no symptoms, it was his wife who was beginning to show them So he was fit to look after them both then, just as many other unprivileged people had to. Perhaps being a carer for his own family was beneath his station? JohnV should Boris be honest and open when asked reasonable questions about the journey and Dom's wanderings? (Yawn)....

Does anyone really care, apart from journalists ? Accused, called to account, answered, criticised, damned and now the world moves on. I struggle to find the words to describe how little I care. I have to say again, if the opposition parties 'cause celebre' of the pandemic is whether a government adviser should have driven to Durham to isolate near family ... the government must have performed admirably .... and how likely is that? This is a journalistic feeding frenzy. Rog It's a cross party concern, perhaps you should listen to the news.

Why are you turning this into a political thing ? Is it so critical a matter that someone who is not in the government but merely employed by them may or may not have made a decision that only effected his familly, should be hounded out of his job for doing something that if he had been stopped by the police might have been either allowed to continue as it being reasonable or warned or at the very worst fined a fixed penalty.
Why are you demanding a draconian punishment on him that you would not dream of demanding for a member of the general public who drove 180 miles for the idiotic reason of just spending an afternoon on the beach

He'll go one way or another the World seems to be against him. The shame of it will be that a lot of this will have nothing to do with his alleged contravention of any lockdown rules.
The remainers hate him for Brexit The BBC hates him because of the reforms he's been advocating His proposals for the reform of Whitehall mean the Civil Service will also make trouble for him
Looking at the news this morning they've had people stood outside their home last night chanting for him to resign, complete with a huge screen on a lorry manned by Momentum activists. This morning he had to fight through a mob to get out of his house. Is any of this proportional?

It's a pure witch hunt because they can't find anything concrete to try and bring against the government. This kind of so called political behaviour makes me sick

I am a life-long Tory voter, but I find the current crop of politicians and advisers to be sleazy and no better than Blair and his cronies were 20 years ago. Such antics have probably been the norm in politics for centuries, but politicians should have learned that these days media attention will uncover any apparent irregularities and spread the news, fake or otherwise, like wildfire.
Cummings may just be an employee of the government but do you really believe that he is not the man who comes up with the strong messages and restrictions - like "STAY AT HOME! "
An honourable PM would have apologised, would have said that his close advisor should have consulted him at the time (assuming that he didn't) and let him know he would be away from Westminster and asked for his non-objection to his journey, and would have apologised for the lack of clarity and the mistake that was made when not making it clear to the public at the time why Cummings was being allowed to travel.
The issue is not really about whether Cummings' travel was legal or otherwise, but more about the appearance of sleaze and privilege. The court of public opinion will be the final arbiter of the PM's behaviour. Let us hope that Boris does not continue to idolise that ridiculous orange man with the white eye patches who pretends to govern (what was until recently) the world's most powerful country.

You are totally missing the mark !!!
The attacks are on an employee of the government not on a member of the government as such.
He has done nothing that should warrant his loss of his job but that is what the press are calling for ...... That is the issue.
Why should an employee be stripped of his job just because the press are looking for someone to pillory ..... it's disgusting and shows how low the newspapers are willing to go to make a story.
That is the point ....... someone who doesn't deserve losing his job will probably do so because they wish to attack his employer ..... that is disgusting
and as regards the morals of current politicians, I think you have go back to Lord Carrington to find a really "honourable member"

We live in a World of hysteria, Brexit, Trump, Gender, Climate, Corvid-19, even Veganism, it does make me tired at times. I might boycott any news on the telly for a few days.
