How many vouchers can you have, Jim? They aren't actually vouchers, just 50% off up to £10 per person in participating establishments for as long as the scheme lasts. Monday Tuesday Wednesday only. How many meals a day can you eat, cheaper than cooking.

Thanks for that.
Yeah, but - when you do your own cooking you know exactly what (and who) is in it ....

30 million people in the UK getting £10 pie & beer vouchers = £300 million. Do keep up at the back. No alcoholic drinks, just pies. Claimed our first voucher today with Noreen and her friend. Just shy of £15 for 3 salads, tea, coffee and a scone with everything for me. Yum! In the shade of the cherry tree in the garden of the Cherry Tree Cafe, Littleborough. Breakfast out with daughter at local eatery.... normally quite a pricy place but 2 large cappachinos, smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel(yummy) and daughter had this crumpet stack with mashed advocados and bacon...just shy of £10... We r trying t'other pricy breakfast place in a couple of weeks..hope the discount still on though by my reckoning its her turn to pay Its madness down here with the eating out discount, Grand sons mum is working 12 hour shifts which means I'm getting him longer hours(her and my son split)... Son works 60 hr shifts at Amazon... There may be a recession but some stuff seems to be thriving

At least on eatery down here has ditched the discount as its to much agro. Normal Monday was about 50 covers last Monday 90. Just to much for the staff to deal with. Besides which quite a few places down here have sait it would have been better in September/October when they need the extra custom as the Grockles have gone home.

By October we'll probably be well into the second wave and nobody allowed to do anything any more. Again.

I took Jane for a meal to the Rising Sun at Scholar Green, because we'd eaten there in the past and the food was good.
Well organised with table service, and the food and service were as good as ever.
An added bonus was, because it was a Tuesday (the scheme only operates Mon, Tues, and Wed at eateries registered to take part) there was £17 off the food bill.

60hr shifts? How does that work? It’s called work your right, but don’t worry it’s not something for you.
