Paul seems OK now but when he was a mod he was a bit of a knob. OK, but any suggestions as to who would be suitable? Even the normally placid DeanS turned into a bit of a hitler when he was mod. If it was up to meeee I'd have a trial period for new moderators, then take stock of things Maybe have a rota too, so moderators would only need to be on duty half the weeks/days or whatever.

I reckon PaulC should take over from Dan, and have posted as such on CWDF. He's shown to have a lot of integrity, and seems pretty impartial. With Dan still in charge it might take some doing to get things back on track. NO NO NO NO NO lets not go down that road with Paul pleaseeeeeeeeeee Why not? OK Fair enough but who would you suggest? I also suggested the person in charge would be more of a chairperson with a number of people to help guide the direction of CWDF?

i think it's still early days on here. We have to remember CW has been around years The birth of this forum came about because of demise of permitted discussion on politics etc over there Then came the cull of members and the anger and bitterness that accompanied what was seen to be the injustice of actions taken...some of those culled did not seem to have disregarded rules..their posting style did not fit anymore. It seems over zealous moderators may have been responsible..I don't know there are so many different things posted the truth will never be known. It was not pleasant. I felt shocked when some people disappeared. This place with its freedom of speech approach not only allowed all to vent their anger and state opinions but also provided a platform for important topics to be raised and discussed Canal World has a huge store of data and information that people still tend to ask on there. For this forum to expand we've got to use it, and not just to vent anger at perception of injustice The more people who visit the more chance it has to build a library of information. Boating questions need raising as they are over there I must admit I only click on recently updated...I have not navigated my way around Unfortunately I don't need to ask boat related questions ATM but I hope my boating days are not over, I do try and read all the recent stuff.

Only BillS has pointed out that this is working.
So far HaulierP/CDS has been sat on the stool and Nutter largely ignored with no more management than Delta 9 pressing the button once.
If only the disgusted of Tunbridge Wells could manage the same self control!
Apart from Matty's excellent sheep thread I think I'm largely done over the road.

Someone on here offered to run it (short term) the other day, can't remember who, but I thought at the time he would probably be suitable. Otherwise, I feel delta would get my vote if he opted in. Given his political persuasion, and views, I've considered him a bloody saint for managing to run this forum neutrally.

Quote from BSP earlier... "This thread is extraordinary. It demonstrates how quickly CWDF degenerates into a petty social experiment" I wonder if there is a Fraudian slip there? Are we all being subjected to some kind of social or psychological experiment by a bunch of manipulative twats? GG - You and Paul C started all this. Both of you ex(?) CWF. What's your drivers for exposing this information? Is it really a fall out with Dan and the remaining mods? Or is this all part of some self satisfying manipulative experiment? Hmm i'm not sure we "both" started this lol i posted the list to back up pauls comment nothing more. Well it would be good if you and Paul would just spill all of the beans now rather than drip fees us. The truth is the truth at the end of day. Let everyone here and there, make their minds up based on ALL the information. Otherwise, we should all just move on as we were a few days ago without this backstabbing stuff...as entertaining as it was for a while.

Even though they call him mahatma (great soul/saint) he wasn't perfect. He still wanted the caste system to remain just better conditions for the scheduled castes. A much more radical leader who was involved in the independence movement and probably as influential was Dr B.R. Ambedkar. The reason you don't hear much about him is because he was trying to bring about the collapse of the caste system. By organizing mass conversions to Buddism.
