If you ask a question on here it usually gets answered pretty quickly and sensibly ...... the lunacy normally waits until after the sensible bits are done with

I'd go for the lower end of that for more access to the northern part of the canal system.
I did live on a 55ft narrow boat with a big engine room for 12 years. Just me and the dog.
That was ideal for one person I guess if there are two of you the extra 10ft might make a big difference to comfort levels.

Looking at a trad narrowboat around 56-65 footish. If u r alone the lower end of length of boat probably adequate..I had a 60ft and realistically would have been just as happy with a shorter one. I loved my boat.
