Currently cruising down the five and half, itβs cooled down now with the clouds coming out, still best drink some cold ales though!

Get yourselves 'up norve' it's impossible to get too hot here... Somethink will always take your mind away from the heat.

Remarkable difference between upstairs and downstairs here. My bedroom, in the eaves, is pretty hot now, despite having the windows and Velux open. Downstairs is lovely and cool. Being built into the rock seems to make a big difference.

It's the bloody swing bridges with the landing on the opposite side to the controls

I know, done the L&L 3 times. I'm more troubled by the ones that won't move, though these days I'd use the little wire winch to open it, ring CRT to come and close it. What is a Handy Billy JohnV, I have heard the term before.

4:1 purchase
(a handy all purpose system, 2 single blocks 2:1 2 double blocks 4:1 ........ also the name given to a Thorneycroft petrol parafin boat engine of the 20's)

... and the fact that many are extremely hard to "swing" even if/when you manage to find an obliging tree/fence/other to tie to on the operating side.
