Id be putting 2 short loop straps under top yolk at front and 2 round rear shock top mounts, then straps from them to your crane hook👍

These are the short loop straps I mean, the 4 on the right hand side, looped round with a strap through them would be ideal and 250kg load capacity / 680 kg breaking strength to boot. 👍

Looks like Mickey mouse ratchet straps to me.
I was using Mickey mouse ratchet straps for the boarding plank on Dulcinea at the ranch to hold it in place but the ratchet part is all very "EIton John".

One aspect of small Jap bikes that I always thought sucked balls is the crapola one-piece exhaust. The state of yours is not exactly beyond use but I would want to swap it for something stainless.

Then it's an excellent opportunity. Cut the header pipe off and fit a separate muffler. There are lots to choose from. May require a little ingenuity with the fabrication of a mounting bracket. The price will make you frown but not as much as the price of a standard item. The cheapest 'universal' chrome items are of poor quality and go rusty quite quickly.

I want to spend as little money on the bike as possible. So I was just thinking about taking it off, sanding the remaining chrome off, welding up the one pin hole. Paint it Matt black and put it back on so it’s not blowing at the manifold. I can buy a replacement for about £60. But if I can keep this one going longer I will.

What part of ‘These are the short loop straps I mean, the 4 on the right hand side’ is difficult to understand? No mention of ratchet straps🤷🏻♂️

Also I try to only skim read posts from Andyberg as he is a known Porsche driving Barry Hawkins washer Northwich narrow boat owner which significantly detracts from his credibility. This can mean one misses bits now and then.
