Well said, Patty ! Taking offence and getting on high horses over inconsequential nothings appears to have become something of a national disease, . . generally prompted by preconceived personal bigotry rather anything that's actually been said or done. 'Taking offence and getting on high horses over inconsequential nothings' Like threats of a liable case for the 'three week' joke? So, . . you're perception is that the grounds for a libel action is a worn-out joke based on an untruth, . . yes ?

I just think your being an idiot, sounding off about what you are going to do again, but nothing seems to come off does it? Planet, Halycon Daze, Tony v Stabby/Kris, all just noise. As our Scouse friend says, Shit or get off the pot!

Now that's been established, . . are you going to say if your perception is that my sole grounds for a libel action is a worn-out joke based on a 4 year old maliciously published untruth, . . or do you believe there to be other grounds ?

Noddyboaters, yoghurt pots, steel coffins etc I always think are the Brits way of giving a humorous name to stuff. I don't see any of that as derogatory.. I guess if u chose to take offence then that's up to the individuals perception of name calling. The names TD allocated to certain posters became badges to wear.. I don't see anything wrong with that... I just thought of it as typical Brit humour. Well said, Patty ! I'm most grateful for the opportunity to re-iterate the actual grounds for a libel action, Jim, . . as opposed to the supposed grounds that the confused posters on this forum have convinced themselves of ! As indicated in every one of my previous posts on the matter -- the ones that almost every Thunderboat poster is having a lot to say about without having taken the trouble to read any of them properly -- the grounds for an internet defamation/libel action are the recently published statements declaring me to be a liar, a cheat, a thief, and a fraudster. Nothing whatsoever to do with long since statutory time limit expired stuff from 4 years ago !

The problem here Tony is that a libel action is incredibly expensive to finance and is therefore unlikely to be within the reach of someone who lives in a hire purchase caravan and lost his slum narrowboat because he couldn't afford £150 for a Boat Safety Certificate.

True or not, it doesn’t need saying. If it’s good enough for the goose, it’s good enough for the gander. Eye for an eye and all that.
