These shortages are starting to get serious now... "Britain is now facing a pie crisis amid a 'perfect storm' of foil tins running low due to rising global aluminium prices, ongoing labour shortages and inflation. The British Pie Association is urging pie makers to re-use the foil tins rather than throw them away to tackle the shortages. The issue stems from surging aluminium prices, which have risen by 50% to reach a 10 year high, and shortages in China, the world's biggest producer of the metal". www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10101163/Britain-facing-pie-crisis-amid-perfect-storm-foil-tins-running-low.html

I do like a good pie. There's a butchers in Nuneaton (Frank Parkers) which sells probably the best pies ever. A small steak and kidney pie is £2.80 and the first time I went in there I thought "Blimey, that's a lot for a steak and kidney pie" but when you start munching on one you can see why. Ginsters it is not.

Vermeulen's in Ellesmere bake some cracking pies-not cheap, but worth the cash.A real variety of fillings including veggi.I'm not veggi, but love the broccoli & stilton.P really likes the steak & ale or chicken curry ones.We haven't tried the breakfast pies or the Sunday roast pies...🤔

Got a few board games, jigsaws, toy cars etc. We go out and he swings on the dogs lead attached to a branch of a tree whilst I 'sing'(very badly) the theme to Indiana Jones....suspect that will become 'embarrassing' for him...or maybe not.
